The Lotus Sutra is one of the most important texts in Buddhism and is considered by many as its finest gem. This text is one of the most famous scriptures of Mahayana Buddhism Singing during prayer services consists of the singer and his or staff gourd-rattle, the water-drummer and his water-drum. The singer sings four songs, concludes his set, and passes the staff, gourd and drum along to the next relative to sing.
